Welcome to Auditory Pathways
Auditory Pathways is a unique private practice specializing in the assessment and treatment of auditory-based learning and sound sensitivity disorders for children, teens, and young adults:
Services are available for children, teens, and young adults of all abilities. In some cases, depending on the age of the child and their needs, our focus is on counselling for the parents, caregivers, and families.
Our clients enjoy a welcome change from the typical medical office by receiving professional services and support in a quiet and comfortable home-based setting. Saturday appointments are available and the parking is free!
In addition to diagnostic testing, a variety of treatments are offered, including listening therapy, guided imagery, solution-focused counselling, and life coaching for children, teens, and young adults, as well as for their families. Our work together will address the ‘whole’ child which is the key to living well with auditory processing disorder, misophonia, tinnitus, and hyperacusis.
For the children we work with, including those diagnosed with ADHD or those who are on the spectrum, the evidence-based therapies offered are grounded in neuroscience and can bring about profound neurological changes. These changes help overcome weak or inefficient processing resulting in improved learning and communication abilities. This helps not only in the classroom setting, but in all areas of life.
